The 5 star Celtic Manor Hotel is set in more than 2,000 acres of stunning countryside in the Usk Valley and offers world-class golf and spa facilities.
When the resort’s luxurious Club House was being restored, we were invited to supply a range of wood for the project.
The project specified the highest quality hardwood to create a truly individual finish in keeping with the resort and the natural beauty of the area.
We provided Solid Cherry and American Oak which were used for the bespoke solid timber dual-faced doorsets. One side of the door was made using Cherry while the other side was American Oak – creating a truly distinctive finish.
These are both fabulous timbers. We love solid Cherry, otherwise known as American Black Cherry, for its wood bending properties and great shock resistance making it excellent for high-end furniture, doors and timber mouldings and skirtings. American White Oak, also known as Northern White Oak, is a hard and heavy species of wood that is increasingly being used by architects and designers.
