Delivery & Returns

Delivery

The supplier uses various method of delivery when delivering goods, these include the use of its own vehicles and independent carrier services.

In all cases the goods will be delivered to the nominated address specified at time of purchase.

It will be the responsibility of the buyer to ensure that there is adequate labour when transferring goods unloaded from delivering vehicle.

Such unloading will be kerbside only and the supplier or carrier will not be responsible for any further movement.

Deliveries will be made between 8:00am and 6:30pm. The seller is unable to give an estimated delivery time as all deliveries are at the courier’s discretion. The couriers used by the seller do not offer a pre-delivery phone call service and can not, therefore, contact the buyer directly.

All of our items are bespoke & made to order and we therefore estimate a delivery period of 7 to 10 days.

Any delivery date or delivery times are for guidance only and the supplier shall not be responsible for any cost incurred by the buyer in the event of a late delivery. Should the buyer be unavailable to accept the goods at the time of delivery then the buyer shall bear the cost of any redelivery.

Returns & Cancellation

Where the buyer has received his order and no longer requires all or part of the order then this may be returned at the discretion of the seller.

If a return is agreed then the buyer has to arrange transport back to the seller’s premises at the buyer’s expense. Once goods have been accepted back the returned goods will be inspected by the seller who will determine if any credit is due.

The buyer must examine all goods on delivery in case any damage has occurred in transit.

The driver should be notified immediately of any problems and the delivery note should be signed accordingly.

The seller cannot guarantee to replace or repair items which have been signed for in good condition or 'unchecked' and are later found to be damaged. This does not affect the buyer’s statutory rights.

Where the buyer has used or installed the goods then this shall be taken as evidence that the buyer has accepted the goods and are in perfect condition.

The seller will not accept any liability for any goods that have been repaired before the seller has been given the opportunity to inspect them or to give authority for repair work to be carried out or in cases where non company components have been used.

The seller will not accept any liability for any goods that have been repaired before the seller has been given the opportunity to inspect them or to give authority for repair work to be carried out or in cases where non company components have been used.

If goods have been delivered in a damaged state and the seller feels the situation cannot be improved by authorising another delivery, we reserve the right to refund the buyer in full for the order and cancel the order.

Where the buyer receives sub standard or incorrect goods they should inform the seller within 7 days, the seller will arrange collection of goods & on return to seller’s premises for further inspection. If items are sub standard or incorrect the seller will replace or refund to the value.

The buyer has the right to cancel an order under the Distance Selling Regulations (Download DTI Distance Selling Guide). The seller will accept the cancellation of an order providing:

The cancellation is received by e-mail or fax within seven (7) days of the Acknowledgment of Order. A phone call is NOT acceptable.

The cancellation is sent to the seller by:

Fax: 0151-489-9536  or

E-mail: sales@hardwoodsalesltd.com

If the goods have already been dispatched when the cancellation is received, they must be returned safe, securely and in saleable condition within seven (7) days of receipt. If these conditions are met, the goods and the cost of return will be refunded in full.

Where the buyer wishes to cancel and return goods purchased the buyer will be libel to a 10% restocking charge.

The buyer has a statutory obligation to ensure the goods are returned in a saleable condition whilst in his/her possession and during transit. If the returned goods are received in a damaged condition, the seller reserves the right to refuse their return or debit the cost of returning the goods to a saleable state.

We strongly advise our customers to return goods in a way that the seller has to sign for receipt of the package and also retain their proof of dispatch for any goods they are returning.
